About
Software stopped needing a software company.
For thirty years the only way to get a tool that fitted your life exactly was to be a programmer or to pay one. That is no longer true, and almost nobody has noticed yet. SmartWay Builds exists to close that gap for people who were never going to learn to code and do not need to.
Why it exists
The gap is not capability. It is instructions.
Anybody can open ChatGPT. Almost nobody gets something genuinely useful out of it on the first afternoon, and the reason is not intelligence or effort — it is that a blank box is a terrible starting point. You do not know what is possible, so you do not know what to ask for, so you ask for something small and get something disappointing and conclude the tools are overrated.
A Build removes the blank box. It says here is a thing worth having, here are the exact words to paste, here is what should come back, and here is what to do when it does not. That is the entire product. It takes 1–3 hours, and at the end of it there is something on your phone or in your spreadsheet that you actually use on a Tuesday.
The Builds are small on purpose. Not a business, not a startup, not a side income — a meal planner that knows your household hates mushrooms, a trip companion that knows who is coming, notes from a meeting that turn themselves into who owes what by when. The things no company will ever ship, because the market for them is one household.
Who is behind it
One person, and this is them.
Not a team, not an agency, and not a brand with a stock photo of a boardroom. If you email support, this is who writes back.
[Placeholder — replace me.] A line or two about who you are and what you did before this. Where you live, what kind of work you came from, and what put you in front of these tools every day. Concrete beats impressive: a reader is trying to work out whether you are a real person, not whether you are qualified.
[Placeholder — replace me.] Why you started SmartWay Builds. The specific frustration, ideally with the actual first thing you built for yourself and what it replaced. This is the paragraph people will remember, so it is worth writing badly first and fixing later.
What I will be held to. [Placeholder — replace me.] What you are prepared to be held to. Something like: one new Build every week, every Build run start to finish before it goes up, and a reply to every email from a person rather than a macro.
What this is not
Four things it deliberately is not.
Said plainly and early, because the fastest way to be worth trusting is to talk somebody out of paying for the wrong thing.
Not a course
There is no syllabus, no cohort, no start date and nothing to fall behind on. A Build is a set of instructions for making one specific thing, and you do them in whatever order you like or not at all.
Not software we host
Whatever you make lives in your own ChatGPT, your own spreadsheet, your own Canva account. We are the instructions, not the landlord — nothing you build stops working if this site disappears.
Not a get-rich pitch
There is not one claim on this site about what anybody earned, because we have not measured that and would not know. The promise is a working thing by the end of an afternoon, and nothing beyond it.
Not a community product
No forum, no Discord, no comment threads under the Builds. One person answers one email address, which is a real amount of support rather than a widget that looks like a team.
Where this is up to
It is early, and the site says so.
There are no testimonials on this site, no member count and no logos of companies that use us, because there is nothing true to put in any of them yet. When there is, it will go up with real names attached. Until then the only evidence offered is the Build Library — everything published so far, readable in full before you give anybody an email address.
Free · no card
Try the argument rather than reading it.
Pick any Build in the library and do the whole of it free. If it does not do what this page claims, you have lost an afternoon and nothing else.
